Oh Drat! It's From the In-Laws

A slightly disturbed poem for Christmas
25 Dec 2017

Twas the night before Christmas and what do I see,
My ex-Mother-in-law handing a package to me,
It's not what you're thinking,
It wasn't bright red or bright green,
Twas brownish and lumpy and smelled kind of (that poo word don't rhyme).
Her eyes, how they twinkled, Her boobs how they squiggled,
Each flouncing and jouncing like "oh not my daughter" jiggles.
She had poofy lips, all lusciously red, spoke softly and gently and filled up my head,
"Don't open it, don't open it, at least not today,"
And she ran out of my house, laughing all the way,
Fleeing faster than eagles and quicker than termites,
In her jacked-up, red beamer that I'll can't afford anymore.
I puzzled and mused from the porch to the lawn,
What could this gift be, this missive of ugly faux bronze.
My mind was a jumble of sugarplum baddies,
My fingers, a fumble of "don't open" jitters,
Could anything harmful be concealed within?
A Dalek? A Fembot? A live Jar Jar Binks?
And then in a twinkling I had such a flash,
My brain lit up three blocks of the city,
With a wink of my eye and a swish of my wrist,
I opened the package, and smelled a right funky mist.
More dastardly than dog poo, or a brimful of garbagy eeeeuuuww,
All roundish like dog's bollocks and squishy like mutant jelly,
It stared up at me crooked, with crossed slit-like eyes, My heart beat like a bass drum while its teeth clacked like a coyote.
It's alive and disgusting. I think it's a leech,
And it smells like my feet after three years of not washing.
It was all twitters and pantings and dithering glee,
I could hear its tummy rumbling, I dare not think why.
I remembered the words of my dear friends to me,
On dashing, on prancing, on leapfrogging bobbies,
Now dash away, dash away, dash away all.
